How do the automatic timesheets work?
We draw geofences around your yard and job sites. When a vehicle (or a driver with an ID tag) enters a site the clock starts, and when it leaves the clock stops. Hours are grouped per person and per job, ready to export to Xero, MYOB or CSV.
Does it work with Xero and MYOB?
Yes. Timesheet hours export straight to Xero or MYOB. If you use another payroll system, export to CSV.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts. If ICU isn't saving you time, you can cancel.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your mix of vehicles, trailers and plant, and which add-ons you want. Book a 15-minute call and we'll give you a fixed quote for your fleet.
What stops staff unplugging the tracker?
On work vehicles we fit hardwired trackers, hidden behind the dash, so staff can't find them or pull them out. Plug-in OBD trackers are quicker to fit and easy to move, but anyone who finds one can unplug it, so we only suggest them where that isn't a worry.
Can I track trailers, generators or pumps with no power?
Yes. Solar asset trackers need no wiring. They show up in the same app, on the same bill, as your vehicles.
What happens out of mobile coverage?
Our trackers use dual Telstra/Optus coverage and store up to 6,000 positions while offline, then upload them once they're back in range. No trips go missing.
Can I stop a stolen vehicle?
Yes, with the immobiliser add-on. You can cut the engine from the app with a PIN, and it only cuts out below 10 km/h so it's safe. Combine it with after-hours movement alerts so you know the moment something moves.
Who in my business can use it?
Everyone who needs to. Users are unlimited, with owner, manager and viewer roles, so the office sees timesheets and the boss sees everything.
Does my crew need to install an app or press anything?
No. Hours come from the tracker in the vehicle, so there is nothing for the crew to remember. If staff share vehicles, a driver ID tag tells the system who is driving.
Can I check hours before they go to payroll?
Yes. Hours sit on the dashboard per person and per job, so you can look over the week before you export to Xero, MYOB or CSV.
What if I don’t use Xero or MYOB?
Export to CSV and import it into your payroll system or spreadsheet.
Which tracker do I need?
Usually a mix. Hardwired units for utes, vans and trucks, and any vehicle you need to protect or that runs your timesheets. Plug-in units for cars where tampering isn’t a concern, and solar trackers for anything without an engine. Send us your vehicle list and we’ll recommend one for each.
Will I get woken up by false alarms?
You choose the hours and the alerts. Set after-hours alerts for when the yard should be quiet, and geofence alerts only for the sites and assets that matter.
Can thieves find and remove the tracker?
Hardwired trackers are installed out of sight behind the dash by our team, not plugged into a port where they’re easy to find.
